Maureen Walsh RN, CT received her BS in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island in 1976.  She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings providing care across the lifespan.  For more than a decade she has worked as a school nurse and health educator.  Maureen has lectured throughout the Boston area on teenage health issues.  She is a certified coordinator and facilitator of Rainbows, an international grief support program for children.  She received her Certification in Thanatology in 2006.

 

 

 

 

Emily Lazar, MS, CT received her graduate degree in genetic counseling from Sarah Lawrence College in 1988.  She has spent her career counseling individuals and couples dealing with high-risk pregnancies and reproductive loss.  She is an adjunct faculty member at Brandeis University and Boston University School of Medicine where she provides death education emphasizing a humanistic approach to patients and self care for the caregiver.  She received her certification in Thanatology in 2007.
